But we attest if there is no difference in the advanced practice between the MSN and the DNP/DrNP graduate, then there really is no inherent extra value to obtaining the doctor of nursing practice degree, except perhaps to gain an extra title and look a lot more like the other "health care" doctorally prepared professionals. We certainly see real advantages for APRNs who complete this degree, as there is curricular content and specialized knowledge beyond the MSN that gives DNP/DrNP graduates additional, enhanced skills.
