After several unsuccessful attempts, is Mongolia finally on tie verge of developing its coal industry?

During the last two years China has been a major buzz word for coal producers. When new mine projects are announced in Canada or Australia, one is certain to hear about China's growing appetite for imported coal. Of course as the world saw in 2005 and will also see this year, China does have a growing appetite for imported coal. However, what some observers may not have anticipated is how much of China's imported met coal is coming from neighboring Mongolia. More importantly if proposed mining projects in Mongolia are successfully completed, current export levels may only scratch the surface of what is to come.
