Cerrejon sells a test cargo in Japan

Japan's Joban Joint Power has purchased 60,000 tonnes of 6,111 Kcal/kg GAR coal from Cerrejon at a price in the US$92.00/tonne CIF range, sources tell Coal Americas. Delivery is scheduled for September. The coal will be burned at Joban's Na-koso power plant on a test basis. The coal will be shipped out of Puerto Bolivar, and pass by South Africa on its way to Japan.
