I really enjoyed your fable in the May issue of JHL's Editor's Note. It reminded me of the book I read called To Bee or Not to Bee by John Penberthy. In the analogy of a bee's life, the reader is taught that life is too short to be taken too seriously and that the journey of life is a journey shifted from I to we. And the worker bees who worked too hard and all alone didn't survive, while those who rested and enjoyed aspects of life together did. I highly recommend the book. In respect to your comments on professionals taking on the entire load of the patients, I'd like to make a few comments. Oftentimes, politics take precedence over the health outcomes of the patients. I'd like to apply this comment to the population of preterm and late preterm infants. There are several guidelines established for these types of patients.
