摘要

Highly efficient transmission holograms are typically angle and wavelength sensitive. Yet some years ago Ludman showed that it was possible to make a transmission hologram with over 97% diffraction efficiency across the full visible spectrum, mainly by going to a very thin material with very high index of refraction modulation. This paper shows how to make a very broad band reflection hologram using a similar approach. A proof-of-principle hologram discussed here has over 98% diffraction efficiency over a band from 560 nm to 640 nm as well as wide angular field of view.
