This is a reprint of an editorial previously published in the Journal of Holistic Nursing because of its relevance to expanding the scope of holistic nursing scholarship. The science of nursing education has been underdeveloped but is a critical part of the larger development of nursing knowledge. Both the National League for Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau International have recently launched major initiatives in this arena. I recently attended a think tank meeting to discuss how to integrate more content about nursing education at the doctoral level. These initiatives reminded me of the central role of holistic nursing education and promoting scholarship in this area of our journal. I hope this sparks renewed interest in development of manuscripts that support the education of holistic nurses at all levels.
