Sandstorm detection using space-borne optical sensors data over the Northern China

摘要

Sandstorm, over the Northern China can be observed using space-borne optical sensors such as MODIS and AVHRR data on March 18-21, 2002. Optical thickness of sandstorm was detected using look-up tables generated by the doubling and adding method in the study area.
