A novel UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) printed planar antenna is designed. It is composed of dual-F-shaped radiating element and a 50 Omega microstrip line. The proposed antenna is light in weight, low in cost and easily to construct. The effort has been done on the impedance bandwidth through changing different parameters of the antenna configuration to obtain the ultrawideband characteristic. The measurement result shows a good agreement with the simulation, furthermore the radiation patterns are omnidirectional in H plane across the operating bandwidths.
