The work presented here discusses the MDF cements prepared from the blends of sulfoaluminate ferrite belite (SAFB) clinkers and ordinary Portland cements (OPC), Al_2O_3 and pectin, polyphosphate (poly-P) or butylacrylate. The new MDF cements were subjected to various moist atmospheres to investigate their moisture resistance. Their chemical, thermal, electron microscopic and magnetometric analyses were also carried out before and after moisture attack. Chemical and mineialogical composition and free CaO content were calculated from chemical composition of MDF cements. Butylacrylate was found to be the most suitable polymer for MDF cement synthesis since the sample containing butylacrylate showed the best moisture resistance. There are three main temperature regions on TG curves of both series of MDF cement samples. New data on the paramagnetic nonhysteresis magnetization curves for all the samples are presented. There are significant differences in scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of MDF cement sample before and after moisture attack and with different polymers.
