摘要

Here we present and discuss structural, magnetic and transport properties of the new ternary cage compound Ce_4Pd_(12)Sn_(25). The isostructural Pt analogue, Ce_4Pt_(12)Sn_(25) has previously been char- acterized as a metallic Kondo lattice system with a very low Kondo temperature T_K ≈ 0:25K and an antiferromagnetic ground state with a Néel temperature T_N = 0:19 K. In contrast to the expectations that the smaller unit cell volume of Ce_4Pd_(12)Sn_(25) compared to Ce_4Pt_(12)Sn_(25) will weaken the magnetism and tune the system closer to a magnetic instability, we found evidence for a phase transitions at a higher temperature T_(mag) = 0:265 K.
