Congratulations to Guillaume Gorincour and his team for a very successful 3rd Congress of ISFR1 in Marseille. This congress continued with the work commenced last year in the five working groups: Data Acquisition, Guidelines and Recommendations for reporting, Education, Certification and Accreditation, and Networking, and we look forward to seeing the outcomes from these groups. In Mark Viner's session at the congress, he talked about the medico-legal issues that technologists need to understand and the protocols that are required to ensure that the images produced are admissible in court. The interpretation of the images and report is often an important aspect of the expert witness' role. How confident are you that the continuity of evidence has been maintained throughout the imaging process? If any doubt can be made of the integrity of the images, then this must surely undermine the resulting report.
