摘要

107 food samples were purchased from stores in Montreal, Canada, and the mineral contents in the fresh samples were determined using absolute neutron activation analysis. This technique requires only one short irradiation and 5 min counting and is computerized. When an element was not detected the detection limit was calculated. Mean concentrations and standard deviations in 14 elements in 23 foods are presented in a table.
