Analysis of potential affecting factors of China's agricultural trade

摘要

China, whose agricultural trade ranks forth in the world, is a major trading power. However, trade deficit has been observed in its agriculture trade in the last few years. This paper, with application of an extended gravity model of trade, gives a regression analysis on the panel data of trade between China and 20 major agricultural trading powers from 2005 to 2010. Results of analysis show that the major factors, affecting China's agricultural export, are distance, the fact that whether the importer is a member of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, GDP of importer, real exchange rate volatility and GDP per capita of importer.
