摘要

The non-traditional leafy vegetables, which were grown in and around the field, near canals and waste lands were collected from Nellore and Prakasam districts of Andhra Pradesh and the proximate composition was estimated as per standard procedures. Analytical data of ten selected non-traditional leaves revealed that they were good sources of moisture, proteins, crude fibre, P-carotene and ascorbic acid, The selected leaves had lower amounts of fat and moderate amounts of oxalic acid. The data on proximate composition revealed that they had promising nutritive value and were nutritionally good.
