A convenient synthesis of fluorinated vinyl ethers derived from di-O-isopropylidenehexofuranose and O-isopropylidenepentofuranose

This paper focuses on a convenient synthesis of fluorinated vinyl ethers derived from di-O-isopropylidenehexofuranose and O-isopropylidenepentofuranose allyl alcohols. The structures of new compounds have been confirmed by H-1, C-13 and F-19 NMR spectroscopic methods. An analysis of coupling constants between vinylic H and F atoms observed in F-19 NMR spectra has allowed assignment of Z/E geometry of the products. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
