30 Years in Maternal Mental Health and Breastfeeding Progress, Pushbacks, and the Next Frontier

At the 2015 conference, the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) celebrated its 30th birthday. It was a great time to celebrate our successes and reflect on where we needed to go next. As part of this celebration, I was invited, as editor-in-chief of Clinical Lactation, to participate in a plenary session outlining the impact of research on the lactation field. My portion of this panel was to discuss the progress we have made in maternal mental health and breastfeeding.
