AN ECOLOGICAL STUDY OF THE PREVALENCE MEAN INTENSITY AND RELATIVE DENSITY OF THE CESTODE IN RELATION TO THE BODY WEIGHT OF THE HOST FISH, CLARIAS BATRACHUS (LINN.)

摘要

Ecological study offish Clarias batmchus (Linn.) in Fakabad was carried out for two years. The various parameters like Prevalence, Mean intensity and Relative density were studied in the body weight of the host. To study the nature of cestodes infection in. fresh water cat fish. Glorias batrachus 218 fishes were examined for two successive years since Dec 2005 to Nov. 07. Out of 218 host examined only 65 were found with 120 cestodes. .For this study four weight of the host Clarias batrachus where taken for study. First group was of (51-100g) body weight, the second group was of (101-150 g) body weight the third group was of (151-200g) body weight while the fourth and final group was of (201 -251 g) body weight. It was found that the body weight of host is related to a number of factors like age health, length and availability of food.
