Director's Report - At the September meeting of the Institute Council, it was agreed that in future we would publish the Annual Report in the January edition of our Journal. This will save about ￡2,000, which is the cost of publishing a separate report. It will also ensure that our activities are brought to a wider audience. The Journal is purchased by a large number of libraries in this country and indeed throughout the world, and the report will now be available to all their readers. The pages that follow demonstrate that the Institute has enjoyed another active and constructive year with most of the main events well-supported and the profile of the Institute enhanced, particularly in the policy-making arena where we have been active in the consultation process.
