Chemical Screening of Essential Oil Bearing Flora of Siberia III.Composition of the Essential Oil of Sium latifolium L.Tops from Altai Region

Distillation of the flowering tops of Sium.latifolium L,from Altai Region for 3 h yielded 0.05%,mobile colorless oil reminiscent of angelica root oil.By analyzing the oil samples using GC and GC/MS,we found that the major components were limonene (32.4%),sabinene (21.7%),a-pinene (12.7%) and Y-terpinene (10.2%).
