This review summarizes current concepts of the role of Ca~(2+)and neurotransmitters of the sympathetic nervous system in transduction of stress signals leading to apoptosis or cell hypertrophy of cardiomyocytes.A particular attention is paid to consideration of contribution of MAP-kinases (mitogen-activated protein kinases)to transduction of stress signals coming into cardiomyocytes through mechanism of interaction of adrenoreceptors with ligands.
