摘要

The screening of a static electric field in periodic quantum wells is investigated theoretically. It is shown that the dependences of the potential on the quantum well number and the electric field from the applied voltage are oscillatory. The experimentally observed oscillatory dependences of the electroinduced quadratic nonlinear-optical response of periodic Si-SiO_2 quantum wells are explained assuming a specific morphology of the silicon layers.
