摘要

Study revealed the presence of heptachlor, endosulfan, chlorpyrifos and carbofuran above acceptable daily intake (ADI). In addition, variations in the levels of heavy metals were also detected in water samples. Data of the toxic effects indicated that there are a significant changes in red blood cells (RBC) and white blood cells (WBC) counts with the time elapsed in albino rats. the increase creatinine and urea concentrations as well as transaminase enzymes activities in serum of treated rats reflect the toxic effects of river and drainage water contaminants to renal and hepatic tissues of rats. Histopathological changes such as congested vessels, inflammatory in the portal vein and hemorrhagic area in liver were observed. Also, hypercellurity of some glomeruli that associated with infiltration, shrinkage of anther glomeruli and with narrow urinary space were noticed in kidney tissue.CAS Registry Numbers 1563-66-2 2921-88-2 60-72-5 115-29-7 76-44-8 57-13-6
