Remnant lipoproteins cholesterol are products of partially catabolized chylomicrons and very-low-density lipoprotein, from which some triglycerides have been removed. These particles are smaller and are believed to be strongly atherogenic. Elevated Remnant lipoproteins cholesterol levels were reported to be associated with endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerotic disease. (C) 2016 Elsevier HS Journals, Inc. All rights reserved.
