摘要

The CaZrO3:Gd3+ phosphor has been prepared by the solution combustion process. The phosphor was well characterized using x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, diffuse reflectance, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), and photoluminescence techniques. Upon UV light excitation (273 nm), the phosphor exhibits an ultraviolet B emission at 312 nm, which is ascribed to P-6(7/2) -> S-8(7/2) transition of Gd3+ ions. EPR analysis of the sample confirms the presence of Gd3+ in the CaZrO3 matrix.
