SUPERLUMINAL PROPAGATION AND ANOMALIES OF THE LIGHT ABSORPTION IN AN ISOTROPIC LAYER. I. GROUP VELOCITY

摘要

The group velocity is calculated and features of the superluminal propagation of light through an isotropic layer are studied. Multilayer systems providing a superluminal propagation of light at large distances with compensation of losses at passage of light through the system are considered. The situations when the propagation velocity of the light pulse decreases or when it is equal to zero are also studied.
