Information and entropy econometrics - volume overview and synthesis

The articles in this volume were first presented in the First Information and EntropyEconometrics (IEE) Conference in honor of Arnold Zellner. Professor Zellner'scontributions to econometrics and statistics are too many to discuss in a finite spaceand deserve their own volume. Rather than discuss here Arnold's overall contribution tothe profession, this volume is dedicated and devoted to Arnold's work in general, and tohis work within IEE in particular. Following Arnold's scientific philosophy of correclyusing our observed data to further enhance our understanding of the real world and theeconomic system, we believe the collection of papers in this volume accords with his viewsand philosophy and as such, honors his contributions to us as scientists and as individuals.
