BackgroundPrecancerous high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL), the current consensus terminology for anogenital squamous cell carcinoma in situ (SCCIS), often presents with distinctive histopathologic findings that may be a function of anatomic site or associated human papillomavirus infection.
