A SALUTE TO A SAILOR

The Navy, welding and friendship seems to go well together and this is how I think of HT-1 Mark Rudis... a sailor, a skilled tradesman and a good friend. There are "givers and takers" in this world in which we live and Mark is definitely a "giver". In fact, he has been giving, guiding, teaching, and advising ever since I met him 18 years ago in a Navy Seabee battalion. We met in what is called the "mud boot" part of the Navy and learned that we were both Navy welders.
