Liposarcomas, representing 15% of the soft-tissue sarcomas, are most commonly seen in adults aged 40-50 years. They are frequently seen in the limbs and trunk, and rarely in the retroperitoneal space. Early detection of retroperitoneal liposarcoma is usually difficult because there are no characteristic symptoms and the retroperitoneum is relatively spacious, which results in the misdiagnosis until the surgery has been performed. Here we reported a case of huge retroperitoneal liposarcoma presenting as a hepatic space-occupying lesion.
