DETERMINATION OF CHLORIDE IN THE LEACHATES OF STABILISED WASTE BY ION CHROMATOGRAPHY AND BY A VOLUMETRIC METHOD - ANALYSIS AND COMPARISON

This study investigates the determination of the total chloride content in the leachates of samples of stabilised municipal solid waste incinerator fly ash (Portland cement), using two different leaching methods. The chloride content of the leachates obtained by two different methods was analysed by ion chromatography and by a volumetric method. The results obtained with the two methods are very similar, although the results obtained by the volumetric method were generally lower. [References: 12]
