摘要

In their review article, "Revisiting tight glycemic control in perioperative and critically ill patients: when one size may not fit all", Abdelmalak and Lansang incorrectly quoted our work, published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism [1,2]. They stated, "In 2011, Carvalho et al studied the effects of a glucose, insulin, potassium (GIK) regimen while maintaining normoglycemia (so-called GIN therapy) during cardiac surgery and showed that such a strategy confers more cardioprotection than standard care that used the same GIK regimen but did not maintain normoglycemia."
