Commentary on the risk and benefit of aspirin therapy: An application of the concepts of unqualified success and unmitigated failure

To the Editor:A meta-analysis of nine randomized controlled trials entitled, "Effect of aspirin on vascular and nonvascular outcomes: meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials," published recently in the Archives of Internal Medicine [1] raises an important issue in the analysis of risks and benefits of therapies.
