In this paper, we introduce a new hybrid projection algorithm based on the shrinking projection method for approximating a common element of in the fixed point sets of two asymptotically quasi-φ-nonexpansive mappings and the solutions set of a variational inequality corresponding to an inverse-strongly monotone operator. The strong convergence theorem is established in real Banach spaces. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results announced by recent results.
