Advantages and potential benefits of a closed CTR.

Kurz et al. present a prospective and randomized study to compare the effect of a closed foldable equator ring and an open capsular tension ring (CTR) on capsular bag shrinkage in cataract surgery. Their results showed that both groups had slight capsular bag shrinkage, with no significant difference between the 2 groups at 3 months. I would like to make a few comments about the article.
