A 59-year-old woman was referred because of high hyperopia after multiple laser refractive surgeries.In 2004, she had laser-assisted subepithelial kera-tectomy (LASEK) in both eyes. Preoperatively, the corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA) measured 20/16 with +1.75 -0.50 x 47 in the right eye and 20/20 with +1.75 -0.25 x 93 in the left eye. Corneal pachymetry at the thinnest point (Orbscan llz , Bausch & Lomb) measured 573 um and 579 um in the right eye and left eye, respectively. The LASEK procedure was performed with an optical zone of 6.0 mm with a maximum central ablation of 52 um in the right eye and 44 um in the left eye.
