Comment on 'Hypericin uptake: a prognostic marker for survival in high-grade glioma'.

I read the article entitled "Hypericin uptake: A prognostic marker for survival in high-grade glioma" by R. Ritz et al. published in the Journal of Clinical Neuroscience in 2008.1 They investigated the uptake of the fluorescent photosensitizer, hypericin, into an ex vivo cell line established from a clinical sample of human glioma. They reported a positive correlation between the fluorescent intensity of the glioma cells and the prognosis of the patients from whom the glioma specimens had been surgically removed.
