Dear Professor Kaye, Isolated involuntary tongue movement (ITM) is a rare group of movement disorders. The most common type of ITM is lingual dystonia with protrusion or unilateral deviation of the tongue. We describe a patient showing unusual ITM during the comatose state, following anoxic encephalopathy.
