Substituent constants of the N=CH-NMe2 group and their application to the prediction of the basicity of each site in bifunctional amidines

Selected sigma-type values of the N=CH-NMe2 group are estimated and together with literature structure-basicity relationships used to predict the so-called 'microscopic' basicity of each site in bifunctional compounds.
