An intervening thoracic outlet syndrome in a gymnast with levator claviculae muscle.

Levator claviculae muscle is an infrequent muscular variant and is usually asymptomatic and determined incidentally. In some instances, however, the muscle may be symptomatic and can lead to thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS).We herein report the case of a gymnast with symptomatic levator claviculae muscle causing vascular TOS. After conservative treatment, all symptoms disappeared, and at the 2 month follow-up, the patient was able to resume all routine training activities without difficulty.
