ACS Community Activities Contest: NCW 2008 Winners

The winners of the annual National Chemistry Week(NCW) poster contest were announced on November 14, 2008.The contest, held during the fourth week in October, invitesK-12 students to display artistically the impact of chemistry intheir lives. The 2008 theme focused on the chemistry of sports.Students were encouraged to emphasize the chemical principlesconnected with different sports, sports materials, safety equip-ment, and how the body performs during physical activity.
