Association of involvement of major branches of coronary arteries with development of ventricular arrhythmias in the catheterization laboratory.

Hemodynamically significant ventricular arrhythmias have been well reported for coronary reperfusion achieved with thrombolysis. Most of the studies have linked them to reperfusion of ischemic myocardium, whereas some studies have postulated incomplete reperfusion with thrombolytics as the cause for the occurrence of the arrhythmia. Development of such ventricular arrhythmias has also been associated with increased risk of in-hospital and 1-year adverse events.
