摘要

Looking back at 2010, as noted by SCCT President Dr. Matthew Budoff (see President's Page), cardiovascular CT showed substantial gains with expanded recognition in guidelines and in reimbursement policy. The present, forward-looking issue of the Journal recognizes the breathtaking potential and parallel evolution of the science and capabilities of multidetector CT for cardiovascular applications, noting the role of CT for pulmonary embolism, cardiac masses, quantitative plaque and hemodynamic assessments, and evaluation of myocardial perfusion.
