ArcelorMittal sells part of Algerian asset to Sider (Algeria)

International steelmaker ArcelorMittal (Luxembourg) has announced completion of negotiations with Algeria’s stateowned steelmaker Sider for a sale of part of its stake in ArcelorMittal Annaba and implementation of an investment plan. The strategic agreement between the two partners is to be signed in the next few days. According to it, ArcelorMittal will retain 49% stake in the steelmaking complex, while controlling interest – 51% – will be transferred to Sider.
