Vale (Brazil) raises iron ore output by 17% in Q3

Vale (Brazil) stepped up iron ore production to 86 mt in the third quarter (+17.3% quarter-on-quarter). The output of pellets has not moved from 12.3 mt (+0.4%). Iron ore production at Northern System (Carajas mine) saw the largest gain, to 29.8 mt (+36% q-o-q), thanks to commissioning of additional facilities and correction in production plan at Carajas.
