Italy’s ILVA Taranto to resume BF No.1 idle since December 2012

On August 1, Italy’s ILVA Taranto plans to resume pig iron production at a 2 million tpy BF No.1, stoppedin December 2012 for the overhaul due to discrepancy with environmental standards. By late July the companyplans to complete about 80% of prescriptions under the environmental degree to reduce negativeimpact of the operations.
