India’s SA IL starts test production of rails at Bhilai Steel Plant

On July 4, India’s Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) commenced the trial run of a 1.2 million tpy universalrail mill at Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), Chhattisgarh state, the company’s insider told Metal Expert. Previouslyscheduled for May 2016, the commissioning of the unit has been postponed until September due todelays in erection and pre-commissioning works.
