China’s Wuhan Iron & Steel (Group) CORP. (WISCO) has started cold tests of a 900,000 tpy continuousannealing line (CAL) at Fangchenggang Iron & Steel Works under construction in Fangchenggang, Guangxiprovince. The engineering, supply and installation of the unit have been carried out by China’s MCC19,while USA’s General Electric provided electrical and automation facilities. As previously reported, manufacturingof mild steel and high-strength steel strips with thickness of 0.4?2.5 mm and width of 1,000?1,880mm will start in early 2016.
