China’s Baosteel commissions BF No.1 at Zhanjiang Iron & Steel

China’s Baosteel has lit the first of two blast furnaces (8.23 million tpy in total) at the new steel worksZhanjiang Iron & Steel in Zhanjiang district of Guangdong province. The inauguration ceremony on theequipment supplied by China’s CISDI took place early this week. The commissioning of BF No. 2 is expectedto begin in 10 days, Baosteel said in its press-release.
