Under a business reform and core product promotion Japan’s Nisshin Steel intends to invest inblast-furnace iron-making at Kure plant in Hiroshima prefecture.By the end of 2019 fiscal (April 1, 2019 – March 31, 2020) capacity of 2.08 million tpy BF No.1 with innervolume of 2,650 cu m will be expanded. Upon the works completion, BF No.2 (around 1.6 million tpy,inner volume 2,080 cu m) will be withdrawn.
