Unusual Presentation of Chronic Eosinophilic Pneumonia

We describe a rare case of chronic eosinophilic pneumonia (CEP) presenting with bilateral symmetric apical segment consolidations leading to respiratory failure. The patient was a 56-year-old woman who was successfully managed with steroid therapy. Bronchoalveolar lavage and transbron-chial lung biopsy should be performed when the diagnosis of CEP is in doubt, even if unusual radiologic findings are present.
